As the old saying go, quality over quantity is what truly matters. I much rather receive a gift that is timeless and holds great sentimental value, as opposed to countless presents that were bought without much thought to them - but don't get me wrong, I appreciate everything that is gifted to me, and am always very grateful! Particularly during Christmas, I always try to gift a personal present that I believe my friends and family will appreciate and cherish for a lifetime, and in my opinion, personalised presents make the best gifts. Not only do they show creativity, but also the time and effort spent in finding a great gift.
Recently I Just Love It contacted me with an opportunity to review some items of my choice, from their selection of personalised gifts available online. I don't just enjoy gifting personalised gifts, I am also a sucker for owning them! I love plastering my name/ initials all over material objects, whether that's stitched, engraved, embroidered or printed on, frankly I don't care, I want it! I Just Love It offers a wide range of personalised items suitable for all ages, and to celebrate most occasions. Even more handy is the fact that gift ideas are sub-categorized by recipients, so that you can have a general idea of what to buy and which items are most popular - we all struggle when it comes to buying dad the perfect gift, let's not deny that, a helping hand is always welcome!
From the selection of personalised items, I opted for the Carnival LED letters, the personalised pencils and personalised Alice in Wonderlandstory book.
My first gift…to myself… were these personalised pink pencils! I couldn't resist, I think they're fab and have taken them to work everyday since the first day I received them. They are adorable, stylish, pretty, and for the best part, no one else will ever have the audacity to "borrow" (steal) them off you! I love 'em.I was instantly drawn towards the Carnival LED letters as I have been lusting over them for absolutely ageees! I have seen them all over Pinterest and Tumblr, and have always found them to be b-e-a-utiful! Unfortunately the average price tag for these typically starts off around £75, to up to £250 a pop (from what I found), whereas I Just Love It offers these for a bargain price of £24.99, which in comparison to other online retailers, is a complete steal. So being the greedy pants that I am, I chose two! "A" and "S" for Ana Sofia, if you wondered. This gift would be perfect for a teenager as it has that edgy, fun, retro-ish feel to it.
The Alice in Wonderland story book was a no brainer, It is such a special keepsake that I will treasure forever. My childhood revolved around Disney movies - I have probably watched them all a million bajillion trillion times, so when I noticed this personalised story book where you could include yourself in the story as the main character (as well as other family members), my heart melted away. My plan is to read the book for the first time on Christmas Eve, with a hot cup of chocolate and with the fireplace burning in the background!
These are just a few ideas of what you could consider gifting others, if I was in the receiving end I would be a very happy bunny!
